The 6 styles in Holiday
Every image below was created by PetPhotos with the style's own prompt, from a described animal rather than an upload — not stock photography. Your own portraits are built from the photos you upload, so they keep your animal's breed, coat and markings; only the setting, light and framing come from the style.
Why a seasonal pack instead of the cheap one
The core looks are built to be true all year, which is exactly what makes them wrong for a card. A card needs the season in the frame and, more awkwardly, it needs somewhere to put the words. Cropping a square studio portrait to fit a card template is how you lose the ears.
The greeting needs somewhere to live
One of the six looks is composed off-centre with clean space beside the animal, kept genuinely empty so the greeting can be set in type afterwards rather than generated into the picture.
Festive by the light, not by the costume
No hats, no antlers, no props, and nothing on the animal at all. The season comes from the light and the ground behind it — lights thrown out of focus, cold daylight with snow in it, needles, ice on a window, gold against near-black. That is also the version most people actually want on their wall in January.
It retires, and that is the point
Holiday is a seasonal drop, not a rung. It is not better or worse than the year-round looks; it answers a question that only exists for about six weeks.
If you want a portrait to keep rather than a card to send, buy Snapshot — $9.99, five year-round looks, and it will still be right in March. Holiday is for the card.
Who Holiday is for
- A card that looks like a photograph instead of a novelty
- Households that would never put a costume on the animal
- December, and the fortnight before it when cards actually get ordered
The hard part is making it still look like your pet.
Your photos guide the AI, so the result keeps the breed, coat and markings of your actual animal — not a generic animal off the internet. Here's our founder's own cat: a phone snap on the left, PetPhotos on the right. Same cat, about 25 minutes apart.

Phone snap
No lighting. No retouch.

PetPhotos
Same cat. About 25 minutes later.
The before-and-after above is a plain studio portrait, not one of the Holiday looks. It is here for one thing only: to show the animal stays the same animal. That part works the same in every look above.
Built by someone who uses it
PetPhotos is run by its founder — the portrait above is his own cat. If it didn't work on him, this page wouldn't exist.

Upload 3–20 photos
Photos of one animal, taken down at their eye level in daylight rather than with a flash. Vary the setting and the angle; head-and-chest framing works best. Takes about a minute from your phone.

We create from your references
Your photos guide the AI so each portrait keeps the breed, coat colour and markings, ear shape and eye colour of your animal. We create all styles at once and typically wrap in about 25 minutes.

Holiday — FAQ
What exactly do I get with Holiday?+
12 portraits across 6 styles — about 2 of each — for $14.99, paid once. Upload 3–20 photos of one animal and the full gallery is ready in about 25 minutes, as high-definition downloads you can print, frame or send.
Which styles does Holiday include?+
Holiday Cozy, First Snow, Card, Evergreen, Frosted Window, New Year. Each one has its own page with a full-size sample, so you can see the setting, light and framing before you buy.
Why not just buy Snapshot for $9.99?+
Buy Snapshot if you want a portrait to keep: $9.99 for five year-round looks that will still be right in March. Holiday is for the card specifically — six winter looks, one of them composed off-centre with clean space beside the animal so a greeting can be set in type rather than generated into the picture. No costumes and no props: the season comes from the light. 12 pictures in total, $14.99 once, and it retires at the end of the year.
Is the free preview really free?+
Yes. One watermarked portrait per email address, no credit card required. You only pay if you like the result and decide to unlock the full gallery.
Will the portraits actually look like my pet?+
Yes — that's the core of how it works, and it's the only thing that matters. A picture of a generic golden retriever is worth nothing to someone who owns a specific one, so your photos act as identity references for the image model and every prompt asks it to match the breed, coat colour and markings, ear shape, and eye colour exactly. The free preview lets you confirm this on your own animal before paying.
How long until I get my portraits?+
Your free preview lands in about 60 seconds. After you upgrade, the full gallery is ready in about 25 minutes — emailed automatically.
What kind of photos should I upload?+
3–20 recent photos of one animal. Get down to their eye level, shoot in daylight rather than with a flash, and vary the setting and the angle. Head-and-chest framing works best. Avoid group shots with a second pet, heavy filters, photos where they're small in the frame, and anything blurry — a dark or dim photo of a black-coated dog is the single hardest case, so include a few taken in good light.
What if I don't like the results?+
Email hello@petphotos.studio within 14 days. We'll first retry the style with tighter prompts at no charge. If the retry still misses the mark, we'll issue a full refund — no questions asked.
